Taste of Ormond Returns to Celebrate Local Flavors in Ormond Beach
Ormond MainStreet will host the 13th Annual Taste of Ormond on October 18 at Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach. This Roaring '20s-themed event features unlimited food samples from two dozen local restaurants, craft beer and wine tastings, live entertainment, a silent auction, and a speakeasy experience. Tickets are $100, with VIP options available. Proceeds support Historic Ormond Beach improvements, local businesses, and community events.
Daytona Beach Museum Set for $145 Million Makeover
The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Science & History, located at 352 S. Nova Road, Daytona Beach, is planning a $145 million transformation that will create a modernized cultural destination. The project includes new galleries, immersive exhibits, expanded educational programs, and a redesigned campus under the name "The Brown." The redevelopment aims to attract visitors, enhance tourism, and strengthen the local arts community.
New Riverfront Land Acquisition Expands Highbridge Park in Ormond Beach
Volusia County approved the purchase of a 14-acre riverfront property at 4310 John Anderson Drive, expanding Highbridge Park. The $2.705 million acquisition, approved by the County Council on July 21, 2026, will help create additional parking, improve public access, and enhance recreational opportunities with future kayak launches, watercraft access, pavilions, and gathering spaces. The property also connects with North Peninsula State Park while preserving valuable coastal habitat.
The 34th Annual Biketoberfest
Motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country will return to the Daytona Beach area for the 34th Annual Biketoberfest, October 15–18. The four-day event features live music, vendors, custom bike shows, motorcycle racing at Daytona International Speedway, and scenic rides along A1A, Historic Main Street, and the Ormond Beach Scenic Loop.
