A new entertainment destination has opened in Ormond Beach. Cue Note Billiard Room celebrated its grand opening and ribbon cutting on September 3.

Located at 1140 W. Granada Blvd., the new venue features 15 pool tables, three golf simulators and two soft-tip dart games. Cue Note also offers billiard leagues, a full restaurant menu and a liquor bar.

The new business adds another entertainment option along the Granada Boulevard corridor and gives residents and visitors a new place to enjoy pool, golf simulators, darts, food and drinks.

New Flagler Beach Pier Will Offer Free Public Access

The new Flagler Beach Pier will offer free public access when it reopens, eliminating the previous $1.50 admission fee and $6 fishing fee.

Flagler Beach city commissioners also approved several new rules for the pier. Pets will not be allowed, and the pier will not have a bait shop.

Instead, the former bait shop space will be used for a lifeguard station. The changes are part of the city's plans for the new Flagler Beach Pier and will provide residents and visitors with free access to one of the area's most recognizable coastal attractions.

Halifax Art Festival Returns to Daytona Beach

The 64th Annual Halifax Art Festival returns to downtown Daytona Beach November 7–8 along Beach Street and the Riverfront Esplanade.

The award-winning festival will feature more than 150 juried artists and artisans showcasing fine art and crafts. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment and other activities throughout the event.

The Halifax Art Festival attracts more than 35,000 art lovers each year, making it one of the area's largest annual arts events and another major attraction for downtown Daytona Beach.

New Cuban Bakery Opens in Ormond Beach

Mimi's Cuban Bakery opened August 24 at 1220 Hand Ave. in Ormond Beach.

The bakery serves handmade Cuban pastries, desserts, sandwiches, coffee, Cuban bread, croquetas and papas rellenas. The business previously sold its pastries at farmers' markets in Flagler Beach and Port Orange before opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Ormond Beach.

The new bakery gives residents another local option for Cuban food and pastries while adding to the growing number of independent businesses serving the Ormond Beach community.
